Nancy Island 50th Anniversary Arrangement
The HMS Nancy was a merchant ship pressed into service during the war of 1812. In 1814, the Nancy and her crew battled against three American schooners but was ultimately burned and sunk in the Nottawasaga River. Over the years, silt and sand accumulated around the sunken hull and an island was formed. In 1928 her hull was excavated and put on display. You can visit the Nancy Island Historic site to view the hull and learn more about this beautiful ship.
Substitutions for container, flowers and colour theme may be required for same value.
